Project goal : To mitigate the impacts of GBV, maternal deaths and challenges in menstrual health of adolescent girls during natural disasters to the disaster affected areas in Bangladesh

Target beneficiaries: 10-19 aged adolescents and young people
Project briefing: CWFD has been implementing different humanitarian activities for the last three years supported by UNFPA. Under those projects, adolescent girls (10-19 years) are being supported with Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Kits for improved personal menstrual hygiene management during normal and emergency situations. These activities help increase knowledge and practice of adolescent school girls regarding MHM as well as disseminate the knowledge among other girls and females of their friend circle, family members and neighbors.
Moreover, the organization has been working on disaster preparedness for the people of disaster-prone areas both in-person and remotely through sensitization meeting, miking, postering, leaflet, flash card to help them stay safe in emergencies.
